Inno Foods: Coconut Clusters

These delicious coconut clusters are one of my favorite snacks. The coconut hits you first, its not too sweet and just the right amount of toastedness. Followed by the wonderful nuttiness of the seeds. These are really an addictive but filling snack.

Kroger: Brownies

Just pour it into a pan and bake. It is the epitome of lazy baking. It is also extremely chocolatey and gooey so if you like a cake like textured brownie this is not the one for you.

Add some walnuts if you want a little crunch!

Rating: 7/10 (if you don’t like a gooey texture 2/10)

Golden Platter All Natural: Chicken Nuggets

Tasty with a nice meat texture. Finely milled crust so not much crunch.

Microwave:

Quick and easy but you lose the crunch of the coating which is my favorite part.

Oven:

Takes a while but gives you a little texture.

Cheap and comes in a huge bag. Okay if your not picky about your nuggets.

Glutino: English Muffin

For the most part I dislike all Glutino products. This however is my favorite gf bread. It holds up well to moister sandwiches and is light and fluffy.

When I first tried this in a Denny’s I thought I had been lied to. It was too good to be gf. But nope, the waitress comes back and showed me the package and that began my hunt. This is a staple in my kitchen despite the fact that it is expensive and I usually buy 5-6 packs at a time.

Now while this is called an English muffin it really isn’t anything like a real one. It is less dense and doesn’t have the same taste. Don’t let that get you down though, this is by far the single best bread and so worth the price.

Seriously if anything on my blog this is the one thing I implore everyone to try.

Horizon: Cheesy Mac White Cheddar

This is the entire box

The noodles hold together well but aren’t the best quality. And you really need to watch how long you cook them for or they will turn mushy.

The cheese package is pretty bland and I usually end up adding some mustard powder to make it a bit more cheesy in taste.

Rating: 5/10

Worth it for a quick bowl of mac and cheese but nothing to write home about and missing the nostalgia factor most people have for Kraft mac and cheese.

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Jennifer and I have been gluten-free for seven years since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease at 15. Since then I have tried many gluten-free products, but many of them weren’t worth the money, let alone the time it took to eat them. Because of this, I know how hard it was at the beginning┬áto find things worth buying, I set up this site, to tell you all about the good, the bad, and the just plain disgusting.

I also hope to inform anyone new to the community about the simple mistakes we all make when we first go gluten-free so that you can avoid them.

Lastly, I will cook and show you easy replacements so you don’t have to give up any of the food you love. Yes, we will be cooking Lasagna!
